"Bedfordshire Police confirm JET Construction have recently completed a Custody Suite refurbishment. Works had to be completed within a specific time frame. Due to the nature of the facility; the deadline was critical. Despite the limited closure period and additional works, the project was satisfactorily completed on time."
"I just wanted to say what a great job JET Construction did on the boxing in of the stair-well and putting up a partitioning wall to safeguard from young people climbing over the railings .I was on leave when the work was carried out, but on my turned I was really pleased at what a great job they have done. It looks like it has always been there and is finished to a really good standard, and feedback from the staff was that the workers were friendly, polite and did a great job in a timely fashion."
Marie Johnson, Unit Manager, The Grove, Aylesbury
'Thank you to Russell, yourself and your team for the professional and co-operative manner in which the project was carried out, the client is very happy with the final result.'

Re: Excellent Work - Compliment
At a time when there is enormous pressure and criticism of local authority provision I felt it was important to apprise you of a Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC) team who are successfully delivering a high quality service to schools and the community they serve.
Over three years ago I started negotiations with BCC School Commissioning Team for the construction of a new classroom at Brushwood Junior School, Chesham. The classroom is required to accommodate an exceptional bulge in the local pupil population which is scheduled to move from our main feeder school in September 2017. A nominal budget of £500,000 was set aside by BCC School Commissioning Team and an external consultant was appointed to progress the project.
In our early meetings with the external consultant, Mrs Hanka Stanford, School Commissioning Partner, repeatedly made clear the budget limits for the project and the relatively simple design brief for the provision of:
An additional classroom and small group room
An extension to the existing staff room
An extension to the current car parking area
Within a short space of time the estimates for the completion of the project had exceeded £870,000 and the project appeared to be untenable.
I am thankful to both Hanka Stanford, School Commissioning Partner and Andrew Bourne, In-house Building Surveyor, that they explored the alternative solution of driving the project themselves. Firstly they simplified the original plan drawn by the architect to deliver the classroom design we had asked for initially. Secondly, they went out to tender on the South East Business Portal and were fortunate that the lowest tenderer was from a contractor who has worked for the Local Authority for a number of years. Throughout, their communications and involvement with the school was exceptional and inclusive. The appointment of J.E.T. Construction has been another key to the project. It was clear from the start that Mr. Bourne knew the quality of their work and the manner of the way they conduct their business.
During the preparation for and during the building phase of the project both Andrew Bourne and the Management Team of J.E.T. Construction, Mr. Russell Argles , Contracts Manager, and Mark Woodward, Surveyor, involved the school in the detail of the plan and listened carefully to the business needs of our school. The project has consequently run throughout term time, safely, to schedule and within budget. Further, the J.E.T workforce and sub-contractors have welcomed the involvement of our children in the project. This has greatly enhanced the learning experience throughout the school with pupil projects; the practical application of mathematical concepts such as area, perimeter, volume, measurement, multiplication, tessellation, geometry. For this, I would greatly thank the sub-contractor of Winwood and Mr. Stuart Tocknell, JET Construction Site Supervisor, who have, under the expertise of Russell Argles, conducted the whole process in a professional good humour and collegial manner, the level of which I have not seen in previous projects.
In business terms Hanka Stanford, Andrew Bourne and J.E.T. Construction have brought the project to conclusion:
Under budget (£500k)
In excellent humour
With a quality finish
If this were not enough commendation, we have been able to build a degree of future proofing to the venture for further extensions and in so doing reduce potential costs to the council and ultimately the rate payer.
As I retire from Brushwood Junior School after 15 years as Headteacher, I can genuinely say that this collaboration has been the most satisfying building development during my time at the school. As a model for the future, I would recommend the expertise and knowledge of the in-house staff such as Andrew and Hanka is trusted in and invested in by the Local Authority Management, they are a credit to the LA in the way they go the extra mile. I would also ask the Local Authority to consider JET Construction for future works of this type as they have a customer satisfaction ethos and attention to detail which I can only recommend.
R G Plimsaul Headteacher, Brushwood Junior School, Chesham
Extremely pleased with the finished toilets. From a customer's perspective the project went very smoothly. We had regular meetings and I was kept up to date with progress. There was an issue with work being delayed, no fault of JET Construction, however the time was made up and the works finished within the original time frame. The quality of the finish is excellent. All contact with JET staff was professional and courteous. Our school has been waiting a long time to have extra toilets built and all the staff are really happy with the outcome.
Sharon Kelly, School Business Manager, Holmwood School
"I would like to put on record that JET has done an excellent job here on refurbishing the upstairs Clinical Skills Room in Post-Grad. We have worked closely with them all along the way and it has been a pleasure to have them here. They have finished within two weeks which has helped us immensely because of all the room bookings. We very much hope that when the next phase commences, JET Construction will be submitting a tender."
Marilyn Hopkins, Medical & Dental Education Programme Manager, Milton Keynes Hospital Post Grad. Centre
"I wanted to write and let you know what a fantastic job your team have done with the building of our bereavement room. The whole finish is excellent standard and blends in so well with the rest of the Hospice, inside and out! The management of the project has also been handled extremely well and any issues or problems that have arisen has been dealt with quickly and efficiently."
Paul Hinson, Chief Executive, Willen Hospice
‘I have been completely satisfied with the work carried out by J.E.T both in terms of build quality and personnel.
Throughout the period of refurbishment there has been minimal disruption and constant attention to Health & Safety.
J.E.T employees, particularly the foreman, have been courteous, punctual and respectful of an environment full of young children.
I would recommend their services to other schools.’ John Ronane, Headteacher, Ickford Combined School
I would like to pass on thanks from staff and governors at Halton for the excellent way in which the Pre-school project has been executed. It seems a very short time since we had the initial meetings and the building process, from start to finish, has been been virtually hassle free (from the school's perspective!) with no delays and no missed deadlines.
Children started this week; take-up is already exceeding our initial estimates and feedback on the finished building is excellent. Parents have been delighted with the light, airy learning space we can now offer, the wider school community have been amazed at the transformation of the bungalow and the children just seem to be having the loveliest time, making the most of everything available!
I would particularly like to say what a pleasure it has been to work with Stuart Tocknell; he has been unfailingly courteous, good-natured and accommodating and has gone 'above and beyond' to make sure that everything is completed to a high standard and on time. Pauline, the Pre-school manager, has really appreciated his efficient, 'can-do' attitude.
This project has certainly restored my faith in school building work, thank you all!
Su Scrimshaw, Head teacher, Halton Community Combined School
Multi Faith Room Upgrade, Wycombe Hospital.
'I feel JET Construction should share in this praise as you were an inherent part of the team which delivered a successful and excellent outcome which was welcomed and praised by the Multi Faith Representatives on behalf of the end users.
Your highly skilled joiner created excellent adaptation of the baby memorial display case, built in Multi Faith Worship cabinetry and many more pieces of work.
The whole team worked well and were sympathetic to the needs of worshipers at the appropriate times.'

I had the pleasure of working with JET on three projects so far this year. The projects in questions were:
- A new hall at one of our primary schools in Aylesbury
- New classrooms/WC/Small Group rooms at a school in High Wycombe
- Refurbishment and alterations to a new Adult Education Centre in Aylesbury
It is my pleasure to recommend JET and their team. They showed exceptional effort and determination to complete the projects to an exceptionally high standard with excellent finishes. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with JET on these schemes. The builds were all completed on time and within budget and the teams on the ground have been very accommodating and professional in their approach to all these projects.

Subject: Refurbishment at the Lodge, Clapham, Bedford for Stonewater Ltd
It is with delight that I compose this e-mail to both you and your team to name but a few i.e. Stuart, Krystian, Roy, Dave and all. The entire team were so very polite, courteous, friendly and so efficient in all their daily tasks. The end refurb is a credit to you all to create a 5 star finish. I personally wish you all the very best for the future in all that you undertake. I would like to think that you would be so kind as to let all the team be aware of my comments they are already being missed a great deal as The Lodge without them has returned to be MAUSALEUM.
Kind regards to you and your team
I would like to congratulate your company regarding the ethics of the workmen who are carrying out the refurbishment at The Lodge in Clapham.
Each and every one are polite, courteous and most pleasant to have in the building. They are helpful and excellent at keeping us informed regarding what is to happen at every stage.
They are always happy and a joy to have around.
